Hi! My name is Cate Cauguiran. I am a first semester Communication Management graduate student on the International Communication track.  I am a Navy Baby. I grew up in Japan on a few military bases raised by Filipino parents. I've sort had this mix of cultures growing up. I have traveled about South East Asia and did a studied French abroad in Dijon, France. In this class, I hope to explore how information technology plays a role in educating and informing the public in developing nations. How does a population without a television in every home seem to have better knowledge of current affairs versus a nation like the United States. I'm looking to work in the journalism industry utilizing all forms of media, particularly focusing on international affairs. I'm excited to get to know everyone and take this class.
